Meadowlands handles are head & shoulders above anywhere else in the U.S.  They offer interviews, handicapping, and several gimmicks to entertain patrons at the track.

I certainly don't agree with ALL of Gural's business practices.  But anyone with half a brain can see how much more The Meadowlands tries to promote the sport than all of it's competitors COMBINED.  Had New York contributed some of it's slot money into promotions, Yonkers racing would've been in a much better place.

Then why is the Big M handle in a free fall?  Has HE chased away the real fans of Harness Racing with the circus like side show?  I see there was a larger crowd at a Jackson Michigan event, where there was NO Wagering, No weiner dogs, No Camels, No sand box digging, No phony Mexican waving the flag.

A lot of people might not realise that Gural gets a 5% kickback of driver & trainer earnings from all regulars & he also demands & gets the regular drivers & trainers & owners to put up big dollars to sponsor races. Their is more then one way to take advantage of the pari mutuel license he has been granted.
