PA is totally lawless probably the worst and most corrupt in NA. With all this news about slot funding and the racing and breeding in the state at all time lows how long will it be until the funding is pulled. Racing will then be hanging by a thread waiting for the scissors to come along. All of those such as Burke, Allard, Palone, Merriman will get a wake up call to their wallets.
When did you ever see a government pull an entitlement program because it made sense to do so?

Governments are voted in by the people and if these same people think that supporting horse racing is a waste of their tax paying dollars when the money could be better spent elsewhere it will be the people making the change by their votes.
I don't know where you live but, where I live the people vote for the Representative. The Rep. does what he/she wants once they have the position.
 
I can not recall one subsidy program that was ever discontinued because it was wasteful or unpopular with the voters. Can you?
