Why would Gerald Longo, who currently races at Running Aces in Minnesota, claim a horse for $8,000 off of Luke Plano at Hoosier Park in Indiana. The horse is Fire Dance (8,M Dragon Again-Odds On Tally-Western Hanover). The drive time is over 9.5 hours. I don't believe that Longo drives or trains in Indiana at all. Was the claim that good or maybe he claimed her for a broodmare?

I think "great horseman" is a little strong for Gerry Longo. He finished 7th training at Cal Expo which most will admit is a fairly weak training colony.
