Drivers Minimum Per Race

So I have been scratching my head lately and trying to figure out how some of these drivers aren't homeless.... But I know its 5% of purse money.... But does these drivers get a flat rate regardless if they come out of the money?


Btw why do they allow Steve Smith to still drive?

Maybe at Bluegrass Downs they are homeless. Lots of drivers in Ohio making well over a 100k.

Chicago they are homeless buy the dozens. Even Casey works a real job. Best driver in Chicago and has to still work for Delong.

At most tracks there is a driver min, paid thur track from the horse owners.

They have to make 2 million in purses to make $100,000. I don`t think very many are doing that!

As far as I know the only tracks that pay drivers a minimum are in Illinois. What tracks outside of Illinois pay a minimum?

Anymore the question is what tracks dont.  All the tracks that my horses race at either pay them or take 25 dollars from me when they don't make 25 on their cut.

Running aces and hoosier make the owners pay.  Northfield and meadows pays the drivers.

The only track I know of is The Meadows.
