 Races are stagnate lots of1-5 types can anyone help them with ideas how attract and get horses in to make races playable handle is down and payoffs are low exept in some obvious motor boat races where horses didn't make a move or parked the mile.who we're good racing secretaries of the past that did very well and could give them some pointers or tips to improve races

Short fields and the early pick 5 is usually unplayable. A chalk fest is accurate. Five or six trainers overlay over the balance currently. Well see if it gets better while the purses are lower then a year ago. In a failed attempt at running a winter meet they would have been better saving that money for the summer. The handle is way below par and that's disappointing.

   The best idea would be to close for good. It is my belief that management wants nothing to do with harness racing. The on track attendance is less than tracks like Running Aces, and Ocean Downs. There is no interest, nothing to promote. It is time to close.

most tracks dont wanna race ,but to keep slots they must race,the ones that wanna close cant
