The Haughton July 14
« on: July 10, 2018, 07:47:23 PM »
So I'm looking at the entries and there's McWicked and the rest.

I miss the older pacers of 2016.  By this time, four or five had gone in or near 47.  ABM, WIJI, Pete, etc.

I wonder what might have been with FFP if they'd waited until August to go vs older but he was so good in the spring and put up that big number in the Pocono Elim.  How could they not go on.

State Treasurer wasn't the same but still had hope in early summer after his monster 2015.

Shamballa was great that year on a big track; took down Miki in the US Pacing race and ran great in the Haughton.  His finish time in the Allerage is the second fastest mile ever.

Even Mel Mara was good for a few, beating Miki in a practice race in fast time.

All summer and fall great racing.  All the way to the BCrown final stretch duel with Miki catching WIJI.  Then Miki jogged in his farewell.

  • SwankToliverA: You're right Rainman, much more than Politics in life. Politics should not end friendships or any relationship really. Most ppl believe what they believe and their minds can't be persuaded. Imho

  • rainman2: yes---as i said earlier  more important things than political differences.  betting and owning horses among other things.  many other people in the world have gone through the same exact thing.  people have to learn from these experiences instead of harboring ill-will from them.  The world is screwed up because of thes things.
