POSITIVE TEST- POST RACE
An analysis of the test sample obtained from MAJOR WAY following its fifth place finish in the fifth race at Hawthorne Racecourse on June 28, 2018 identified a total carbon dioxide (TC02) above the accepted threshold. After
reviewing evidence and considering testimony, the Stewards find trainer Tyler Shehan in violation of IRB rule 603.180 C & D. Pursuant to IRB rule 603.180 C & D, the purse money won by MAJOR WAY is hereby ordered forfeited and redistributed among the horses according to their order of finish. Furthermore, trainer Tyler Shehan is hereby assessed a 15-day suspension (July 9, 2018 through July, 23, 2018 – first offense in 365 days).

He drove Thursday and Saturday at the Red Mile but was taken off his drives tonight.

He also had Thomas Shehan listed as trainer on his own horses.

So he knew he shouldn't be driving.

PROBATIONARY(PRO) AS OF 8/23/2018
CONDUCT DETRIMENTAL TO THE BEST INTEREST OF HORSE RACING
In accordance with KRS230.320(1) - 811 KAR Sec.15(u). Tyler Shehan is hereby assessed a 10 day full suspension for violation of Kentucky Horse Racing Commission ruling #J2018-013 whereas he was denied access to locations under the jurisdiction of the KHRC through 8/7/2018. This violation took place on Saturday August 4, 2018 in the Grandstand and apron area of the Red Mile race track. After reviewing the facts the judges have decided to suspend this 10 day penalty and place Tyler Shehan on a Conditional Probation for the remainder of the 2018. The terms of this Probation are that Shehan has no further significant or repeated minor violations of KHRC or other racing jurisdictions rules. If the terms of this Probation period are violated, the 10 day full suspension will be immediately enforced. This ruling is final and not appealable. Tyler Shehan consents to the terms of this ruling.
