Race#8-#8 Carmen's Fluke 8-1 ML Back in where the steed belongs, off a qualifier and brief freshening up. Can get home decent and the overwhelming favorite in here generally crawls home late in the mile.

Should be interesting with Shepherd now training The Power Of Many. Not likely to crawl home tonight, not many of his horses have crawled home lately. Good luck Rabbit, think I am just watching this race.

A couple interesting ones. Got a late start and working my way through now.

On the price shopping list:

Race 2

 #5 Ms Masterpiece
is very interesting. Looks like a private purchase with new connections that have done well with first starts out of the barn. Damn has produced one winner from one starter and damn herself was nearly a millionaire. The winner, Diamond Starlight, won second out in 2:01.2 at Hoosier and no wins since.

Obviously the driver change from Gregory to Henry is a big upgrade. Racing time in last race 23 days ago at Harrahs would be good enough to beat this field without any improvement. Downside? Gregory is a very good trotting man. Henry is decent with trotters but can overdrive a horse causing it to run. I also don't love the Harrahs to Mohawk surface change. We've seen a handful recently not take to the surface. Looks to be about 4th/5th choice in double right now so price will be right. Acceptable odds 5/1 or higher.

Note: if this one does well take a very hard look at the import from Harrahs to the Gallucci barn in the last. Won't be seeing any kind of price on that one but it probably will run off the screen.

Race 6

#7 PL Ketchup 12/1 ml

On paper, the #1 Wanna Hall is the horse to beat. If he's on his best behavior, he wins. I'm taking a shot against because he's getting the 1 hole off a break and has shown greenness.
A couple interesting ones here if you're betting against the 1. #7 PL Ketchup line looks pretty bad from the last race, but he actually raced really well. Sorceress Seelster quarter moved in the race and was a runaway winner. PL Ketchup was really only beaten a length or so between the third place horse.  Horse is racing 2nd up off layoff (last win was second off layoff), second time lasix, and is facing mostly younger. We get Saftic which is a negative but he has driven this horse's only win.  Horse took money last week against arguably better so we might not get the morning line here, but I think the #1 will be closer to 3/5 which should give us at least 8-1. Acceptable odds 7/1 or higher.

Race 10

#2 Jula Downton 8/1 ml

Another race where it looks like there will be two strong favorites in Run Director and What Chapter. Both are very plausible win choices and wouldn't be surprised if they won. However, I could see their racing styles so far being a factor, and the lack of a true front ender in this race, affect the outcome. Jula Downton has been racing in the same company as the two aforementioned starters and hasn't completely embarrassed himself. Only 1 in the money placing from 5 starts this year yet still has earned nearly $60k. I'm thinking Roy can work out a suck along trip behind either Run Director or What Chapter. I think one will try to alter racing style and leave. Many times this scenario leads to a pocket sitter running down a closer turned front ender. How likely? Not very but enough of a chance to make it a worthwhile wager.  With two standouts I can see Jula Downton but that still might lead to 5 or 6/1 odds. Acceptable odds 5/1

Gl to everyone.

Also, third race looks super wide open but I sure as shit couldn't land on a winner. Might take a shot with Meteorite if it's like 20-1 or higher at post time.

2 of 3?

Nope. I'm alive to the 6 so definitely not. They're all live tickets. Alive to a few horses in the pick 5 with beholder singled as well.  Guessing he will be crushed in the pick 5.

Pick 3 pools up there are small but not THAT small. 3/5 to 3/1 ending in that leg paid 835.05 for a $1

3/1 over 72-1 over whatever the 6 goes off (not 3-5 that's for damn sure) is only paying $333 for a $1?
