the worst is when owners run to the winners circle just to say cheese
ive never missed a bigm sale last 7 yrs,,go to Lexington 2 yrs in a row and all hoosier sales they are not hard trips if u enjoy lookin at horses whether u buy or not ,,usually not the issue..as far as drivin 200 miles to hoosier 2 OR 3 TIMES A MONTH win or lose ,,its a good drive don't have much time on this earth left but im gonna enjoy what I can I have a great time usually win or lose,,and we been losin lately ,,bad july..but if u enjoy horses and nice racing u just drive..,,Illinois racin has BEEN SO RUN DOWN ,I DONT EVEN GO TO HAWTHORNE ANY MORE,,PLACE LOOKS LIKE A HOMELESS SHELTER latley,,Dayton or Miami valley and hoosier or stay on the couch and the dish racin network,,,,THE DRIVE IS USUALLY MORE FUN,,
That is if you don't live near the track and watch them run regularly. What's the point of owning overnight horses if all you're doing is watching them in a laptop 1000 miles away?It cant be that easy to make money owning long distance, can it?I feel bad for true harness people like LucPark who travels HARD miles to see his run. I remember being at the track, in the paddock, at the barn and occasionally to the farm. But now? Watching on a computer? That's not enough for me.
