In race 10 on 9/5/2018 at Hoosier Park, Sam Widger blatantly stiffed the horse Mr. Gorgeous. The fine as listed on the most current USTA list was noted as “other” =$500! Unbelievable act of cronyism if there ever was one!
Nobody in this forum has attacked Magee and the Indiana Racing Board more than me with their bullshit decisions protecting the cheaters.
When I do it the asslickers line up to attack me and defend Magee.
But you Zookeeper have escaped their wrath so far so lets hope it stays that way.
I do have one problem with this particular race and determining Widger's effort or lack there of.
I lean towards the over paced race causing Widger to have too much ground to make up in the stretch.
Why?
1.) I watched and bet this race using Widger
2.) Trace blew up the fractions for this class on a Tyler George crotchrocket and the winner gotta two hole trip.
For this Nw-4/cl16 class the fractions were 27.0 54.4 1:23.2 1:52.1
Pop Speed the winner got a perfect trip and a new lifetime mark.
Widger's horse trained by Bellamy has no early speed.
He raced almost identical to his standard type of race from off the pace flying late in the mile.
In fact his 27.2 last quarter is faster than his normal closing time.
Mr. Gorgeous raced again on 9-13 in slower fractions of 27.3 and 56.4 and still couldn't keep up early.
This time Widger closed in 27.0 and LOST GROUND in the 26.3 final quarter.
I was more pissed about this race than his 9-05 race.
Anyway tomorrow Widger is not driving at Hoosier and you get Oosting to drive same class out of the 9 hole.
We'll see what happens.
