Congrats to Mr Gural! His hard work has finally started to pay off.
Sen. Richard Codey (D-Essex), a sponsor, said other states subsidize their horse racing industries and it is time New Jersey start doing so again. "We are the only state in this country that has both casinos and racetracks, and the racetracks get no subsidy here in New Jersey. They get it in every other state," Codey said."
Does the "help us, help us" whine ever stop....translati on of the above; All the other states that have successful casinos provide welfare to the sick downtrodden racing industry, how come we aren't getting any? While the game will always be in my blood, its voice of constant begging has gotten tired and old. The end product presented to the consumer still remains awful, the crooks still thrive, and very few if any improvements have been seen over the last several decades. As a gambling enterprise, no one cares about it, as evidenced by dwindling handle. The fortunate few that do benefit, well they should count their lucky stars.
It seems that Jeff Gural was a major force in getting all of this new money for new jersey horse racing which leads me to ask the obvious question . Is it possible that he's not all bad ? Is it possible that there's some good inside of him ?
at least gural wants racing
