Down days in Illinois harness
« on: January 03, 2019, 04:30:49 PM »
Used to be the new yr always kicked off the Hawthorne winter meet..

And many enjoyed the double header on Monday and sat night at Hawthorne.

Where and what had this been replaced with.

If the tracks get slots and sports betting Maywood will run from October to May 1. Windy City purse will be $500k.

You heard it here 1st.

Hasbeen....who are your sources Maywood would open? You are aware in the bankruptcy deal that the named casinos against the tracks have in place NO par-mutual wagering cannot take place for 10 years. So stop with the non-sense
Plus dates are set in stone for the 2019 racing season. They never add but like last year could take days away which they did with lack of horse population.

Maywood never got the 10 year clause, it was balmoral.
2019 dates will never change. Only hope is another track and more dates in 20 with a slot bill, which is almost a given to happen.
