Last qtr 28.3 after getting over to 3/4 in 1:29.1 on a 57 degree day, horses can do this. This 30 claimer is nonsense because she isn’t a 30, she isn’t even close to that. This horse races 3 times last year. Obviously this horse has problems. Further more she fits the class. Listen I have been in races where the horse that won was completely ineligible and the race secretary blew me off but in this case Julie’s horse isn’t. Sometimes you get in with better horses. I will stick to my opinion that Brett’s horse is the one to beat if it is given a confident drive by Troy. I maybe wrong but we shall see.

there is supposed to be a night and day difference between these two classes
any horse in this field would not pace a 28 second last quarter in those same conditoons

i am up in arms because...
my horse fit the class last week but was exlcuded because she was coming from too high at class at MONTICELLO
and the same person who made this call had previously excluded one of my horses that was coming in from tioga after racing for a 12k purse and was deemed in eligible for nw 10000...thats 10000 not 1000
but this one racing for a 12k purse can race in a nw1000 while mine couldnt race in a nw10000

Let’s put an end to this.
First off those conditioned claimers are worth about 1/2 or less their claiming price.
So a 30k is worth maybe 15k in a straight claimer, maybe less.

Second, her last race was at Lexington in a nw1750L4- in July, 7 months ago.

Pace   F&M NW $1000 L5 starts. Starters in a class higher than NW $1,500/winner in this class last start ineligible (Horses from other tracks/claiming races will be classified at discretion of race office) AE: NW 2 Extended PM races life.

here is how it is written
basically the race office decided that a horse coming from a 30 claimer is somehow the equivelant of a nw1500
but my mare coming from monticello was in too high a class
and my trotter coming from tioga racing for 12k made him ineligible for a nw10,000
but this pacer coming from scioto racing for a 12k purse made her ELIGIBLE for nw1000

there shouldnt be different standards for different trainers i dont care how many horses they have or how many horses they need

I hear they have a full-size portrait of Nick Surick in the Freehold Racing Secretary office and rub its belly for good luck in filling a race card. Once a few other tracks reopen, won't be surprised to see an entire Freehold race of just Surick entries. He's the greatest trainer who never actually trains horses, in our lifetime.
