Screw this...Hey Hawthorne, here's an idea: Next time you want to have a fireworks display on June 23--why? who knows--start your race card early and have the fireworks AFTER the races, not in between race 8-9 on an 11-race card, creating a 40-minute delay at 10:30 at night.Unbelievabl e.

The fireworks display is at the conclusion of this festival every year and Hawthorne is given advanced notice.

So yes they could start earlier and avoid the lengthy delay if they wanted too.

But then we would all miss Peter telling us "For those of you not here at Hawthorne you missed a great show".

Since Hawthorne showed the entire fireworks display on their simulcast signal, not sure what I missed?
