I don't subscribe to Trot magazine so I won't be able to read the story about Marc Campbell, but the headline asks the question "What Keeps Charlottetown's Drive of the Decade in The Maritimes?"
I can tell you that the answer is being able to eat.
He drove, or at least tried to, in Ontario before staying home for the decade and didn't do any good at all. Being the best in The Maritimes is like being the best player in the East Coast Hockey League: you get a lot of notoriety in the small pond, but drown in any pond much bigger.
There are so many issues facing racing, it's so frustrating that the powers that be pen stupid fluff stories like this which do absolutely nothing for the advancement of the game and the addressing of the problems. Just stupid.
