Even down under they mismanage horses.

Rokndownunder WAS a nive filly.
Qualified for a big race and was an all out 5th.
A normal stablecwould have shevled her at that point but nope not the stable.

Now shes running behind the gate and ruined already

Burke, Harris and James MacDonald bought into horses too at one point

Harris and James?
Wouldn’t they be driving other horses in the same races?
Is that against the rules?

Can other owners, trainers and drivers buy shares?
Yes.  I did.

Burke had a piece of The Stable.CA horse maybe a couple years ago. Then Burke took horse with The Stables clients and started training that horse. Then they sold that horse. James bought into one of this years 2 year old at stable. Hasn’t raced yet. If James still on partners on that horse, when the horse races James would probably drive him. Not sure if James still a partner. Mentioning of partners, you don’t get to know your partners on a horse. So no say into anything about a horse you bought into. Imagine you buy 20% into a horse and have no say who trainer is and who drives your horse. That is what I am running into. Mario of all the drivers is who is driving my horse. Already had a couple talks with AMAc about Mario driving last year as my horse is now 3. And yes I am getting out little by little of TheStable.CA. At a loss.

The truth of the matter is that with 50-60 yearlings (mostly marginally bred) the chance for positive ROI overall is probably 0.001% ... you might get lucky and have a couple do well.

This initiative has gotten more people involved in horse ownership but how many will go on to buy yearlings or race horses themselves (mixed sale, claimers) & continue to have Anthony train & drive! I would say the same % listed above.

This is all about Anthony, same as the buys to bring a horse down for the gold cup & saucer. Unfortunately this is a dog & pony show and it will run its course over time.

Hopefully he’s tucking some away instead of spending lavishly as when this is done, he’ll be racing winners under 7 claimers in Dresden on Sunday afternoons.
