Why do people rip Gural. He isn't obligated to pay for purses out of own pocket but he does. He is a business man just like everyone else. McDonalds doesn't give away burgers. Walmart doesn't let you leave the store without paying and yet there are a bunch of whiners who criticize him because he doesn't fund harness racing and the dysfunction it possesses.

He is making a public offer to the horsemans assn to lwt them pay him money to use his track. As usual, in a magnanimous fashion. That doesn't unnerve you at all?

THE SITUATION TODAY IN HARNESS RACING IS NOTHING AS IT WAS BACK IN THE 60'S AND 70'S AND EVEN 80'S.   THE RECENT INDICTMENTS TRULY HAVE ARMED THE CASINOS TO DO AWAY WITH RACING ALTOGETHER AS THEY STATE THEIR PRODUCT HAS BEEN DAMAGED AND TARNISHED.    THE MOVEMENT TO ELIMINATE RACING HAS TRULY TAKEN MORE LIFE.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT A NEW ADMINISTRATION BE FORMED QUICKLY AND A LOT OF MONEY NEEDS SPENT TO LOBBY ---THIS IS NOT A MAYBE OR AN OPTION...WITHOUT IT RACING IS TRULY UNDER A LOT OF PRESSURE TO EXIST AS WE KNOW IT!!

THIS SITUATION MUST BE DEALT WITH IMMEDIATELY AS THE CASINOS DO NOT NEED RACING.   EVERYONE INVOLVED BETTER COME TO THE REALIZATION THAT THE TABLES HAVE TURNED AND IMMEDIATE ACTION IS REQUIRED.

  My problem with Gural isn't about his greed. It's about his lack of integrity. When he basically extorted the state into LEASING the Pig M for a $1, he also demanded concessions from the workers as well. If he is losing money NOW, too God damned bad for him. However, everyone should remember his so called stance on the integrity issue. He was a factor in the investigation and subsequent banning of Pena. They went and tracked his financial records. I actually applaud that, BUT if they did it to him, why not Burke, or Juicin' Julie/Andy Miller? Because he EMPLOYS them. When he first came onto the scene he had me fooled. I give credit to Viking who always said that this guy was a snake. (Apologies to Doc Narotsky ) He employs two of the biggest juicers in the game. He also may have some issue with the Propulsion drama. Little E was a part owner of that horse when it was sold at the Tattersalls sale ion Aug. 2, 2015 for $210.000. The horse was nerved sometime in late April of 2015. I have been told it is the owner's responsibility to inform the horse was nerved before he can enter the sale. Daniel Reden, the current trainer of Propulsion, says he had no idea he had had the procedure done. Reden was not present at the sale, but Marcus Melander purchased the horse on Reden and Brixton Medical AB's behalf. IF the previous owners of Propulsion, which were Brittany Farms, Joe Sbrocco, Ltttle E LLC, and a stable comprised of Marvin Katz, Al Libfeld, and Sam Goldband, did not notify Tsttersalls, could they be held accountable?
   I find it hard to believe Reden did not inspect Propulsion, once he got him, however I also find it hard to believe they would pay $210 K for a horse they couldn't race. Gural's word, to me, is worthless. He leased the Pig M, hoping that he would be getting a casino there. It had nothing to do with wanting to keep racing at the Pig M.

If you don't agree with the way Gural runs HIS business, then race/wager at a track he doesn't own.  There are plenty of them.

I do wager at other tracks, and by looking at the Pig M's handle, apparently so do others.

Here is a situation that I agree with Gural.

When he was quoted saying... every day we turn the lights on, we lose money.... he wasn’t kidding and in my opinion the weekend handle was nothing great and definitely way short of covering purse money.

Not sure when sports book will open or even have something worth while to gamble on but the Meds and every track our losing money everyday under current purse structure. I love the USTA boasting about the record handles at Tioga. Yay, they had enough money to cover the purses thru the 4th race.

So people are calling him selfish for offering the track to the horsemen so it frees up the two days of overnight racing and they don't lose any of those races to stakes races. He's doing you a favor morons.
