We Can Eliminate These Tracks
« on: January 16, 2021, 03:54:50 PM »
and no one will even notice

Fraser, Century, The Track on 2 (wtf is that, please), Exhibition, Fredericton, Inverness, Northside, Truro, Clinton, Dresden, Georgian, Grand River, Hanover, Hawatha, Kawathra, Leamington, Rideau Carton, Charlotton, Summerside, Hippoydrone.

If you don't handle, 25% of purses, you are beyond welfare,,,  We'll make plans to re-train you.

We need these welfare dollars redirected to worthy causes.

This leaves London, Flamboro and Mohawk.  TBH, one of two 1/2's should go as well.

Bettors will respond.

We need to think of the gamblers and taxpyers.

End the Welfare state.

For the good of the game and to make our schools and roads better, these should go...

Batavia, Buffalo, Harrington, Philly, Dayton, Bangor, Scarboto, Meadows, Northville, HarringtonMontice llo,Northville, Ocean, Rosecroft,Plainaridge, Pocono,Run Aces, Scioto, Sartoga, Tioga, Hawthorne, Vernon.

We need to keep Red Mile, Pompano, Northfield, Meadowlands, Freehold, Dover, CalEx, Yonkers

That's all,

One track at 1:00... One at 4:30 ... One at 730.

If you bust out, we'll have training programs.

End the welfare.

I've been betting on harness for over 50 years.  Probably bet on fifty to a hundred thousand races.

I can count on both my hands the number of races I've bet on from Pompano, Freehold and Cal Expo.   Never bet on a Cal Expo race in my life. So I humbly disagree with your picks of who to keep.

calhoun, your brilliant
yes lets close all the tracks amidst a pandemic when unemployment is and will continue to increase
so your plan is to just put these people on unemployment and have them contribute nothing to society
they may not be the best for gambling but they keep thousands employed at the tracks and downstream from there
going forward many businesses will be continue to be supported by government to survive

Let's not pretend here.  The Welfare Horsemen State takes and takes and it's not even close.

What about silent movies?  Video stores? Road Maps? Porno theaters?

No.  Freehold handled $650,000 today.  And the industry needs a short track in NJ.

In Canada, the only place that has any kind of horse industry is Ontario.  We leave 3 tracks there.

But tracks handling $3,000 a race do exactly what for anyone other than the welfare recipients?

The people's money that goes to these useless tracks is better spent on kids and roads.

Pompano has a 12% pick 5 and has had dozens of great carryover pools over the years.

Are you just a race to race guy or do you just hate your money?
