Faraldo to meet with MGM management next week......

Joe Faraldo will meet with MGM management next week to discuss the last minute cancellation of the Thursday evening card at Yonkers Raceway. The owners are steaming mad and let Faraldo be known that legal action be taken against MGM and their antics to secure a safe surface for racing. On top of that that the contract with MGM and SOA ends in May of 2021.  Owners are thinking of pulling their horses and racing elsewhere. Stay tuned, time will tell.

i think the meeting has more to do with faraldo collecting his money from mgm

work out a deal to race Monti horses in the afternoon at Yonkers, then modify Monti to a 5'8th's mil track, then move all racing there and have Yonkers pay the bill for modifications

horsemen can then pay to have someone of their choosing keep up the track and MGM gets their hotel

when landlords want their non-rent paying tenants out, sooner or later they win

biting the hand that feeds you will not work much longer

once sports wagering and a full casino is at Yonkers, that VLT revenue will slide badly

players playing VLT roulette and VLT blackjack will migrate right over to table games
