Horse racing is optional. If you don't want to travel with high gas prices, everywhere is hiring. Lots of people have lengthy commutes to work. Don't like it, get a job closer to home. This is the most ridiculous post in a while, and that's saying something. Clearly just to draw posts, no one could actually believe this!
I know this may come as a shock to the Horseplop nation, but I agree with the subject title. States SHOULD help the whoresmen out ..... onto the streets. Take away the handouts these socialist, welfare recipient scumbags have been given, for no good reason, and use that money for HUMAN BEINGS. Start the decoupling avalanche, and let these whoresmen race for the revenue they generate. Sincerely, Silent One
Listen, for a half century - govt. has sudsidized farmers. Often paying them NOT to plant and work their land,So, why not prop up another branch of agriculture via the equine industry? AND!!! it's not tax $$$ handing out the govt. welfare, instead the financing is delivered via an infintesimal breakage from the casinos. How is that small tithe a bad thing? It finances a whole lot of folk working with and around the horses - plus, vets, feed mills, not to mention the cottage industries that sell decorative horse gear. There's not a darned thing wrong w/ one industry helping another. you wanna bitch about government handouts. Tee it up on the deadbeats that refuse to work at all and believe themselves to be entitled.
Subsidizing farmers to protect the country's food supply is in no way comparable to subsidizing harness racing
