TIC BANK BEGAN TO FINANCE HORSES JUST LIKE HOMES----ALMAHURST FARM PARTNERED WITH MERRILL LYNCH--- VERY FEW INVESTORS EVER RECEIVED ANY RETURN ON THEIR INVESTMENTS BUT HAD LOTS OF FUN AND IT WAS A FUN ERA IN THIS INDUSTRY.Jack Baugh used his position as head of the USTA to CONvince investors of the well ness of their investment. Most horses he bought for the partnerships in were fillies, and had Almahurst in their names.Few ever covered their cost.....and many were then sold to the next partnership as "prospective great brood mares" My uncle did not have ANY fun in both these partnerships..and lost over $ 300,000. Only Baugh and the guys who trained these colts and fillies made the money. From your knowledge , I would say you were the legal hand that registered the partnerships. My uncle , now deceased, was considering legal action against Baugh..........bu t could find no others who wanted to step up and take on Baugh.
