Dismal June wagering concerns Gural
« on: July 02, 2022, 05:02:34 PM »
"We expect to lose $5 million on racing this year and we didn't handle over $3 million dollars once all month", said Meadowlands CEO Jeff Gural.  "I am still owed $13 million from when I took over the Meadowlands and do not expect to see that money any time soon. If the horsemen think I am going to continue to take losses on racing they are sadly mistaken."

Instead of bitching and moaning, he should be thankful the state doesn't make him give more sports money to purses

our sport is so fucked up it's a complete joke....the best handling harness track in the usa should be racing a minimum of 5 nights a week....yet cant fill cards because of all these casino aided purses at b and c tracks where the handle can't support shit....

harness racing needs to hit rock bottom via all these casino $ purses drying up....maybe then things will get fixed....full cards 5 nights a week at the venue that does the handle

.

Closing the barn area ended any chance of racing 5 nights a week.

I think you have to race there or the Fuhrer won’t allow you to participate in the stakes races.
