To all the Chicago guys last I knew smolin had him  so wheres the horse been just curious if anyone knew details .now in a new barn raced pretty good really given 2yrs off made a move but tired and still got 4th at 154 so it was nice to see horse still wants to go give a few weeks of racing into shape and we will see in the winners circle again that hard knocking horse I don't post much on here much anymore as most of Chicago races aren't talked about anymore and all the negative bs it is what it is now

Horse was in a kill pen I think, dee cozzi bailed him out got him back healthy horse wants to race. Great story!!!!! Gotta love a story like this and should be aware off great work by all involved getting him back horse is a Chicago legend!

Well if that's what had happened its awesome they did .the horse has been a winner it's entire career maybe they can find a forever home after there done. And still can earn lots of checks in the mean time .good luck to all involved

Horse was Illinois bred and juiced up R Bob Phillips trash. Looked criplled last night and should even be allowed to race. Still bleeds really bad and if they race him much more he will drop dead on the track and end up in the alpo dog meat factory where he belongs.

What’s so good about the story. The horse is crippled and it’s inhumane to put the poor horse back on the race track and ask him to race more. It would be a great story if dee cozzi rescued him and found a good home out to pasture. But no way these people are so greedy. They wanna take credit for rescuing the horse and turn out and put the crippled animal out on the track to get his ass beat against 4000 claimers. Sad shit. Only in harness racing will you see a story like this.

Ram it up your ass. This horse is crippled and can barely walk. He was off for two years for a reason! The state vet needs to scratch him if he is paying attention. Dee cozzi should be ashamed of herself for rescuing the horse from the killer and then turn around and put that crippled thing on the track to try and make her $$$$$. Only on horseplop would anyone even talk about a has been crippled up Illinois bred 4000 claimer. Lmao let it go. Retire the poor animal. Someone should report this to PETA for this horse being allowed to race.

Poor Al looked like he had a broken bone the other night. Let Al go to a good home. He deserves to be in the pasture for the rest of his life. He almost collapsed the other night at the 1/16th pole if you watch the reply look how wheezy he was. Running sideways and calling it quits. Give him a nice home and have Hawthorne give him a nice retirement party. I know Pete glassi would really speak some nice words for Al.

It's called conditioning 2yrs off with only 1 Qually needs to be worked in shape he's 13 and you guys are saying it's better to have him in a kill pen instead of having with good people that care for him feed him and heal him wow the last ones that had him was smolin and he's forcibly retired and can't feed himself let alone horses so if you want to blame terrible people blame former owners not current ones that are helping him ok bud

Look Jack ass I don't own the horse ,bought the horse or pay its bills do you obviously you don't either ....there are bills to pay for every horse on the grounds for every trainer or owner .the old horse has talent and guts aka heart I seen him win on super night with a broken bike,wheel with smolin driving for a final for 1/2 the mile wide and still won .so say what you want of course if you want give the trainer a donation to the horses care if not shut the hell up I'm in no way connected to the current owners just has watched that horse beat everyone  in. Chicago's races either at Hawthorne or before at Balmoral

Yeah ok. Listen bitch the horse needs to go to a happy home and that means not at a racetrack racing his crippled ass around hawthorne. Yeah and 20 years ago I seen joe Anderson win every race in Chicago. Who gives a fuck. Send the horse to happy farm and quit racing him you money hungry fool.
