And by keeping freeze brands "which the USTA has the power to enforce" it makes it simple for anyone to ID a registered standardbred and trace the last registered owner. How is that passing the buck? That's forcing accountability to the owner. Wow, it isn't that difficult to understand. And according to two USTA employees plus one former USTA exec that is exactly why they don't want freeze brands. People calling the USTA or the last owner. So think about that one for a bit. The USTA couldn't set up a dedicated hotline? Ya know, like the useless integrity hotline that has accomplished absolute squat? Maybe do some good by these animals after they retire, and it don't take much.

Funny thing is the posters here who would NEVER reveal their identity act like they know what they're talking about. For example, people are coming to get me I better shut up.  Still waiting.
