Your right. I have owned horses for a while now with very limited success. Won a couple sire stakes in Ohio and Ky.,but overall have never made money except for that one year. Last year my seaside never came back as a 3 yo and my always a miki died on the operating table from a simple operation taking some chips out. Sure the money is good , but look who wins most the stk purse money. The big stables with the deep pockets.

There are five stables who make all of the money and Erv does okay but nothing to write home about. They get good care and every chance to be good but Erv spends wayyyy too much in vet and payroll at the owners expense.
