Jeff have been running tracks for years and still hasn't learned that the impending severe weather is going to impact the card! He has nobody to blame but himself! M1 made a rookie mistake !

How dare Mother Nature interfere with their 3 million dollar night! If in fact the general manager of 3 standardbred racetracks, (all Gural owned), does know with delay comes issue with the health and well being of Lasix horses, then they is an indictment of his fitness to run three racetracks.  If in fact he knows the delay issue with lasix horses and the 3 million dollar night was more important to them than the safety and we’ll being of all involved, horses and humans, then there are not enough words to describe how disgusting they are.
Then again these sate the people that gave us Andrew “Shades” Dansky! Buffoons! I rest my case!

It just seems as the Meadowlands has become Gural's three ring circus! You got goofs doing interviews, Amateur drivers, 7500 claimers, a race secretary that takes it up the  :1 and
a guy who couldn't pick the winner in a one horse race.

Years ago, the Meadowlands was known to be the premier place to race and top-notch horses, trainers and drivers. And it was a privilege to race there!

Now it's like I said,  its a Three Ring Circus!

ngc3   Amen to that.  Circuses sell out when they come to town.  This shit show is getting old, no casino in range there, the juice is squeezed out of everyone and everything, JG needs to think future, start investing heavily, take on partners whatever and play long, or launch the fuck out of there for new blood with deeper pockets and a better plan, starting with a formidable resurrection.   tmbz1

I remember the first time I raced there in the 90's. Holy crap was I overwhelmed. Between my fanboy admiration of the other drivers and the sheer size and glamour of the place was awesome. It was always packed, there were families there with the kiddos waving at the drivers.  Now it's just another track with a few old timers with nothing better to do on the apron. It's a damn shame

I was in my mid 20's then probably at the Pegasus restaurant on a date.  Lobster ravioli, shit I remember, probably betting on races you were in too....when I was a young teen sneaking on the senior bus, and hanging out in their grandstand and betting.  Jate Lobell had a nice undefeated string, Miss Easy a baby filly monster... JG is now surrounded by spineless YES MEN.

I think I see a Jeff Gural open letter from us already forming, and then us seeking immediate advisement therein, enough is enough.   tmbz1

"We have had some bad weather luck for the last two Saturdays, but last week, we were able to resume without a problem,” said track chief operating officer and general manager Jason Settlemoir. “This time, we weren’t so lucky.  It seems that Dexter Dunn, Scott Zeron and the McCarthy brothers had driving commitments in Kentucky on Sunday and they were not willing to change their travel arrangements.  It would have necessitated numerous driver changes and scratches to our later races so regrettably we were forced to abandon the remainder of our program.  We will certainly discuss this situation at the next drivers meeting before the Championship meet."

They couldn't have said this in their first press release, lol, just a more expanded explanation - with the track again we had no choice - and driver changes and scratching was an option.  Wouldn't be the first time we saw this after say an accident, a bunch of changes.

The McCarthy brothers got their rest, made their flight and picked up 3 wins on $50k stakes purse races (at Oak Grove), and very likely secured their future drives for those connections, along with the other drivers who kept their commitments.

I appreciate the BigM transparency, BUT (<-- their fav word  ;D) as the members already said here, the energy there is dead, and them meeting their bottom line and what we seek from them as gamblers, fans and horsemen in part, recapturing what we lost, seem to be mutually exclusive.

And the YES MEN comment was a threat, your jobs are in jeopardy!   tmbz1

The track is a zoo. It isn't a nice place to spend an evening. It's run by lying hypocrites. I will make some plays there from home. I won't go there anymore.

They couldn't have said this in their first press release, no they couldn't, because thats not what they SAID........ Senator, your usually pretty accurate on fact checking information, but stanetelman is a LIAR and always changes the quotes to stir the shit with the pigeons.......... .. fact check ANY of his past Meadowlands quotes and you will see the difference.

Here is the actual quote.
Shortly after the seventh race – which went off at 8:50 p.m. – a light rain started to fall at the mile oval before a powerful storm engulfed the area. Track announcer Ken Warkentin informed the public of the cancellation at 10:29 p.m., explaining that the drivers thought it was too dangerous to continue.

He might be referring to the race when the starting gate slid on the ice at the start and about wiped out several family bloodlines. I think the video is on youtube

We'll make sure whether Gural stays on or a successor you'll keep your shilling for the BIgM job.  I just want to be janitorial, no one tells the janitor what to do, who advises on cleaning up shit!

BTW, I admire you SAW, you take getting spit-roasted like a true bitch hero, suckling the BigM from the front like a good piglet, and squealing from those honest here who got your back.  Good job chump champ!   ;D

They could have easily just said that due to the quick hitting weather, the remaining races are cancelled due to safety concerns.

Instead, they pointedly blamed the drivers while removing any blame from themselves and trackmen. The track has a real axe to grind with these drivers

stanetelman, prove that you're not a lying cocksucker shill too, say from across the border, Mohawk (BigM's biggest competition and jealous), a disgruntled employee, writer, gambler etc and provide a DIRECT LINK to this and all your source material going forward (and the past too) for BigM quotes - any quotes for that matter.

Thanks SAW, I went over the top with you for other reasons, maybe too far at times I go, maybe necessary to out LYING FAGGOTS but I like you and AM CALLING BULLSHIT on this MOTHER FUCKING SCUMBAG!   91.jzail
