Pletcher is a cheat, accepted an Eclipse award while under suspension for well guess lol, but I don't think he's stupid, I believe he felt his horse was sound.  I believe based on what was said it was a coin toss and spin of the wheel on track vets and they lost with this one.  Just like court judges one leans this...one leans that way.  Deaths, Kentucky went with the narrative of we care lmao!

Especially after all the Fed heat, Bob Baffert issues, he'll never admit it, but Todd Pletcher secretly does not want to win another Kentucky Derby and only the Kentucky Derby.  The attention it brings like no other race is astronomical and he's just not a clean dude with a clean barn, and the statue of limitations hasn't run out on all his bullshit.

Most successful trainer in history, he's won just about every big race including 2 KYD's, suspended previously but managed to avoid major career ending, life altering heat.

He has also built a post racing breeding empire, set for life, only can lose nothing more to gain, I believe the 1 race he's afraid of is the Kentucky Derby, even if his horses running there are clean because his operation isn't and hasn't been!

Excellent points, your initial findings are correct The Dink has powerful friends however like the horse they're fractional too only a 0.00004 commitment to the friendship.
