There is too much disparity between horses in condition classes-TM Ratings.Eg- a pacer could be an OPen Pacer-in Rosecroft for eg-- get either 0 or small check-then go into nw last 4 -get small checks again--then get into bottom level nw at Pocono or Chester--in a race where his TM rating is 85 and the rest of the field below 80 and class rating around 78-80.Goes off 1/5-race hardly bet.Happens many times--to the point that a NW5000 at Yonkers is now harder to win than a 20-25 claimer.Races need to be handicapped!!!!! or have conditioned classes where nw last 5 draw inside or lower money earner inside---just like how open handicap races are handicapped. Will make for much better racing--as one thing that amazes me-is at the Meadowlands where some races have all 5-10,000 claimers--BUT evenly matched--will be bet more than a conditioned class where 1-2 lay over the field and the rest have not shot!!
Just send him a picture of a bulldozer. Maybe a another photo of a hotel on the infield.
Senator---you are a Legend. Thank you! You are breath of fresh air. Lets hope the conditioned sheets start getting more competitive. Im now glad I didnt can plop as all it had was haters-not guys who just love a good time have a bet and love horses-without inserting hatred jealousy. All over the racing world-secretaries try to make the entries as closely matched as possible. Sometimes it just cant happen as in WFA races in TBreds---the cream rises to the top. Secretaries in NY PA and elsewhere-for some inexplicable reason have Standardbreds in races where the Track Master rating vary as much as 10 points--or even worse at Yonkers a 90 TM rated horse can draw the rail and the 80--the 8 hole. You think the 8 will be live???-No. he waits till next week--where he just has to hope the same situation doesnt happen--but curiously--it does!!.Surely he can write more conditions to even up the field
