Worst drive of the race was Buter on Covered Bridge, horse in lifetime form and he just sits in, overloaded on the final turn with nowhere to go.
That's why it's always a rush to the front at Northfield. It's too easy to get bottled up when there's 9 racing.

Weak field for this alleged "Battle". Is anyone else tired of watching This Is The Plan. Alywag Hanover didn't even bother with this joke of a race.

Allywag, who I don’t think has ever raced on a half wasn’t there. Who else wasn’t there?

Look at the driving colony that drove in this race!  B/C track drivers?  Make your own judgments!

Actually this is the worst drive given the post position and the breakers before the 1/16th pole!

Fair Enough.  I forgot about the blindswitch Buter found himself in when Ruthless went wide.  Still a crap drive from both.

Some of the top horses racing at Woodbine/Mohawk like Wheels on Fire (although he is so big I don't see him taking the turns at all) and American History.  Aside from those 2 here are some "open" names: Southwind Gendry, Tattoo Artist, Abuckabett Hanover (also doubt if he would do 1/2 mile), Nandolo N, Hellabalou, Let it Ride N and FunattheBeach N all come to mind.

Tattoo hasn't been great, pretty sure Abuckabett wasn't even invited, Nandolo sucks, Hellabalou would have been the Burke entrant but he went with This is the Plan, Let it Ride is good, but so is Charlie May and he has history at NFLD, Funatthebeach is same connections as Covered Bridge.

Connections of Bernie were whining they didn't get an invite, but the truth is when the race was being assembled his record wasn't all that great and he was coming off a so-so race.
