The 1 out of 4 drivers, two of them are pompano special. Home of fish man and juice flowing like a river. The other palone raced against P drivers most of his career.
Johnny Johnson fucked up Chicago harness racing. I hope you die !!!!

Is there a driver, trainer, owner, horse or anyone or anything else about the sport you actually like?

Take away the last 20+ years for Wally and Bruce, where would they be on this list? As far as Bartlett, maybe he lucked into things at Yonkers as a few name drivers failed at Yonkers with high end stock!

Except for 10+ years when Sears and D Miller drove full time at the Meadows he still won the driving title every year...and the year the snowstorm didn't let Tetrick, and Gingras make it to Woodbine for the Breeders Crown Palone picked up drives every race and was easily the best driver there that night. No The Meadows isn't as competitive and the top 3-5 tracks but in his prime Dave drove as well as any around then...he just wasn't a cash whore chasing drives all over because his family became more important.

Give Bruce, Wally, and G Nap credit!  They stayed warm for many winters, making a decent buck driving and not freezing their asses off like many others in the business!!

How about this perspective. With Bruce and Wally driving at the same track for more than a decade, they have each managed to win 1 out of 4 career and Georgie Nap, while more "destructive" to a horse, isn't far behind at like 1 out 5.5 career

Pretty sure Wally won all 7 NYSS events one night at Buffalo in the early 90s. Very rare feat.

Also entrusted to be the primary driver of one of the all time great Standardbreds to wear a bridle - Moni Maker

Any “Red Man” stats ? He has to be close to that 1 out of 4 percentile.

Carmine retired with about 7500 career wins. I cant find his lifetime number of drives but I once saw it was over 45000 so he prolly wenty 1 for 6 life time ballpark.  He used to drive for us and was a real prick.  Unfriendly guy.. Drivers used to say how he would hang out in the locker room after the races were over and steal gloves, socks and whips.

That sounds like sour grapes from jealous drivers.

I never saw "Wally World" race outside Florida, but he is a great driver. We lived down there over 30 years before retiring to Maine, and went to Pompano a couple of times a week. Wally, Kevin Wallis, Bruce Ranger, Kelly Shepperd, etc. were fixtures there. In those mid-80's through about 2000, we had a pretty decent deriving colony. My two favorite trainers there were Jake Huff and Peter Blood. I also enjoyed when Tom Harmer trained/drove there.

Carmine, the red man, was known to be the cheapest sob that ever sat in a sulky. Believe it or not it wasn’t sour grapes.
