At mohawk, they post----

the time at the 1/8 pole on the screen.  Does any other track do this?  Also, would posting the time at the 1/8 pole in the racing program help or hinder handicapping?

I'm glad to see it in there. If you see a horse that has been firing out hard and finishing average, a wager adjustment may be called for if the bunch in with him step off the gate average to slow. Sometimes it doesn't take an entire quarter to wear one  down. Reminds me of a funny story. I was driving a horse and I asked the owner/trainer if there was anything I should know, he says " I  got good news & I got bad news!. The good news is he has 1 good brush" I said what's the bad news? He says " You have to use it to keep up with the gate!"  ngc3
