Just watched it. Dead game Bythemyssal, but still he bounced the other way and got beat. Certainly not Bulldog material. Did you see that weird step Bythemissal put in top of the stretch. Game horse but there is something off there. Foot, shoulder? Hard to tell.

He has been putting in those steps ever since he debuted for Burke. When he set a record at Shortfield Park he was doing that! He had some kind of major issue with Josh Green which is probably the reason for him bailing out on him. I just hope that horse doesn't snap or tear something while racing in front of a field of good horses.

I talked about my gut feeling that he has a major hole in him and he could bounce the wrong way off last week's jogburger and got laughed at. Lotsa keyboard Hall of Famers here, but hey that's part of what makes it fun. Ty for the Josh Green part of the story

Base on money, Yannick is a top driver. But like so many favorites I have seen he mad the mistake of underestimating the first turn at Mohawk. That is is a 5/8th mile turn on a 7/8th mile track. I have seem many top horses and drivers lose races by being parked ot on that turn. He could easily dropped in third and went for the lead after the turn. That was his winning move.

yes yannick overdrives everything but in most cases it works especially if horses are the best
yes that first turn at mohawk can take the sting out of a horse especially if first 1/8 is low 12
fastest miles usually in the early races especially after mid august
the temp can  cool down significantly  from 7pm to 9.30 or later which i am sure also affects the track surface

First 1/8 mile at Mohawk is all straight away they usually back down to 30 seconds 1/4 from 1/8-3/8 pole
