Greatest Standardbred pacer of all time is not even up for debate, It is Dan Patch. One can assume he would pace in 1.42 based on what he did over a century ago. 1.55 in 1900? mind boggling. Undefetred in Open co. and at one time literally the most famous athlete alive. free legged is even more astonishing.
Dan Patch was probably drugged with EPO and everything else back then. No testing.
