Regardless of all the BS what is the key element here is the total inconsistency regarding pylon infractions. I have written about this before on Plop but no one has good answer. The only good answer is a national rules and enforcement commission with one set of rules. The sport cannot continue to rule differently on the same infractions from track to track. I have no idea who this trainer is but it doesn’t matter does it? I don’t even need to watch the replays. This story repeats itself regularly all over the harness world. So either put back the unsafe wooden rail or get the rules and execution fixed once and for all.
The total inconsistency is the make up of our country. Different laws in every state. Drinking and smoking ages are different. Weed is ok in some places and not in others. You can sexually assault an animal in some states as well.
What if said animal gives consent?
If this was a real story ( it is not), just look up the horse who finished second to find the mystery trainer.Easy fix, make every other pylon out of concrete, and see how many guys go inside the pylons.
This pylon topic is al BS because the USTA and the track owners have no guts. Put the damn wooden rail back up and this conversation ends immediately. Then pray no one gets hurt.
Yes Fug he was hired by the track to make some changes for the better. Eliminating the passing lane surprised me how right he was. The problem is still speed and how many first and second place finishes ended the same way they began. That’s half mile racing and this has nothing to do with the pylon problem. Put up a real rail and it will take these judges out of making inconsistent decisions.
