Inquiring minds want to know
« on: October 10, 2023, 06:19:06 PM »
I know there are some sharp guys on here who seem to be able to get the backstretch scam, so here is my question- Has anyone heard anything from the Toscano/Young/IMS crew concerning his last race? Seemed sound and it didn't look like bleeding or tying up either. To me, he raced like a horse that was sick.

Anybody here anything?

Is Young still crowing on Facebook?

Thanks

Instead of starting a new topic. I am 78 and been around Harness Racing probably longer than anyone here. I know my shit.  So the, I fucked this one's wife and had dinner with that one's are probably pure nonsense. Roosevelt and Yonkers had 25 thousand in the attendance on the weekends. Only Hollywood and Sportsman could come close. The pools were giant and no one cared about purses which were taxable. It was all about betting into these wonderful pools.  I was there for the start of the EXACTA, TRI and the newer Exotics, I was there for the Capital Hills Farm nonsense. Then came the start of the new era. Any of you who think that Herve went first over night after night against the best and just went bye easily are candidates for a lobotomly. If you ever watched, sitting 3rd on a 1/2 mile  track is the worst. Not then, Herve would go first up like he was sitting in the pocket. His downfall was A.C. and gin rummy.  Today's tracks don't have enough in attendance to start a crap game. Therefore, the owners, trainers need purse money, and an edge which are the Casinoes that are forced to subside the action, only the patrons suffer. Gambling is all about VALUE and an EDGE. I got out completely in the 80's, except for a little breeding for the fun of it. I always had an edge, I was a "Fortunate Son"..

So Kooter what is your point? I haven’t read anything new here that hasn’t been said hundreds of times. That being said congrats making it to 78 years old and for getting out of our business before it became what it is today.

Trying to figure out what prompted Kooters rant. LOL. I was simply asking if anyone knew if IMS was sick.

Go watch all his races this. year.  You will see he wore and open bridle.  Lexington was a closed bridle.  Cheaters cheat when they have a closed bridle.  Oh by the way he didn't win a race last yr. with a closed bridle.  Horse is completely fine health wise.  He'll be back to fight another day.  I don't know if he can go with Confederate but it will be good.

HF won 15,000 races and ripped thousands more! The greatest ever. By the way, JC was never broke and starving early in his career like other HOF that I won't mention.
