Unstoppable Journey of Somebeachsomewhere
« on: December 07, 2023, 01:11:33 PM »
No doubt many of you have seen this 4 part YouTube of Somebeachsomewher e.

Very hard to have a dry eye at the end of this but I have to agree that he was a once in a lifetime horse and very few if any, were as good as him

Parts 2,3 and 4 follow on when part 1 ends

The same will be written about MUSCLE HILL, hopefully, they'll leave out the references to Geg Peck!!!

It's the fleeting look of absolute disgust at 2:24ish pt 3 talking about art official ... Anyone else catch that or do I need to polish up my poker skills?

Art Official = Birdstone

The stars aligned perfectly for two minutes in the racing life of both these horses.

way off base here

Birdstone came back to win the Travers after wining the Belmont and was a super sire

Art Official won the Cane after M1 Pace and was a horrible sire

Maybe, but I look at it the complete opposite way.  His legacy and IMO his greatest race was going 51.4 to half and 1:19.1 to the 3 quarters (in 2008!) and just getting caught at the wire by Art Official.
