HISA is a must and should be a serious consideration, not a deterrent from harness racing.  If the industry players as a whole want meaningful change HISA is a start that will instill some sort of public confidence. where zero currently exists.

Like Hamas and its rebellion of lies and terrorist deluge. The USTA and the state racing commissions must have a ground sweeping house cleaning to eliminate those that are bent on killing the sport.

Like many of his accomplices on paper, or in the press, Attorney's like Howie feed the fire of the cheats and abusers. They should be barred from ownership and representation of distorted facts and findings. Stick with accident cases asshole.

Homos, specifically just one at the top of the totem pole, or some dudes pole. The USTA must clean house from the top down.  No one person should have governing power over the USTA who owns the largest Breeding operation, and Largest Sales Company simultaneous to the President's position of the USTA.

If this occurs, a handful of harness tracks more than likely go out of business. SAY GOODBYE to Cal Expo, Monticello, Cumberland Maine, and Bangor, and the Maine fairs as well as any other fairs racing for sure!  I am not familiar with the thoroughbred tracks that this could happen too. For the most part, the thoroughbreds race for more money but not as often.  There is a big difference of paying this expense on Standardbreds versus the thoroughbreds.

It is bad enough that New York State charges s $ 30.78 fee for this when you race there. So the New York State fee will still be there also. NYS government like to collect $ like this and they likely won’t rescind it!
Will HISA 100% guarantee a perfectly level racetracks, or will this money line the pockets of a different set of individuals?

Their land and licenses? You mean the corporate track owners that come in and pay millions for Licenses, to the sellers and the states, and oh by the way, spend millions of dollars to build or refurbish dumps of yesteryear?  Where do you get your drugs? You need to find a higher quality.

Personally and I know many others---look to keep racing going-to keep the associated Industries going-and keep vast areas GREEN. Thats the key--who wants to see retirement homes, malls, warehouses etc-where racetracks used to be--I dont. The casinos and wealthy individuals who invest in them--dont give a shit about Green Space/horse related activities-or racing entertainment. They can make a whole lot more $$$ turning on the power--and let the one armed bandits fleece poorer people. Racinos could certainly exist as long as both parties work together--its done overseas-not a problem. Instead--the Casino wants nothing to do with racing-they want to decouple-and are doing everything they can--to turn racing into shit. Race secretaries-can be employed - get kickbacks-to run shit programs-favor certain people--handle drops like a stone--all good for the casino--as now they can argue that they dont want to fund a dead Industry--one they did everything to help it go that way. If I was in charge--Id force the Casino/government to keep racing going--and to make it profitable--can be done.

It’s not the casinos responsibility to promote the racetracks— it’s the racetracks ! Why should the casino have to pay for something like harness racing which nobody is interested in anymore. The casinos should be allowed to decouple and on the other hand, the racetracks should be allowed to charge the rent on their property to whatever tune they want. It’s fair game. If the casinos were smart they would close down for “improvements” much like Carey does at Hawthorne. He hoping the horseman will just go away but bring the leeches that they are, they keep hanging on and try to race at the shithole. Just close down for improvements and let the horseman race for whatever the generate. Just stall until the horsemen go away.
