So why did Jimmy T really walk away?
« on: January 04, 2024, 08:46:50 PM »
Has anyone ever wondered why when your at the top of the game do you tell everyone your retiring?  Then not 3 months later your right back in the barn working.  Now your back training every day running the show from behind the scenes.  So why does Jimmy not want his name in the books for?

Been on top of the mountain.  Time to put another family member on that mountain too!

Have you ever met Jimmy?  He's the most ego driven person there is.  It's all about Jimmy

Jimmy Takter has been on this list for well over a year.
Several other names you may recognize.
I am just an old horse trainer still going around in circles. Sometimes Fast. Sometimes Half-Fast.

That's extremely old news and it was in his neck and he had successful operation.  It was really no big deal and blown out of proportion.

Not sure I have ever heard cancer referred to as "no big deal".

It was rumored to be cancer but after the surgery they never mentioned anything about cancer.  I think when they announced it they should have said "It could be cancer or it looks like cancer" I don't think it ever was cancer hence saying it was not big deal.

Why do they need to ANNOUNCE anything? Its a private family matter. If Jimmy wanted it announced he would have done it himself.  Thats a ridiculous statement to make about any health issue.

Between his daughter and Per the two pronged expansion of the barn has been nothing but a money maker since the inception of his new approach!

I don't think Jimmy has anything to do with Per anymore.  Per doesn't even train at the farm anymore and they never exchange horses.

Per was getting screwed by Yimmy went he opened his own stable. Anything that looked like a stakes horse got moved to Nancy and Per got a crap one in exchange. So Per hooked up with Marks to feed him horses and a little prerace help

I heard the same thing.  Per went from barely winning to being the 2nd leading trainer by wins in the country after Josh Marks insertion.

Per got the shaft with the split. Nothing comes above family (except money)with Jimmy & Christina. He never had a bad word to say about Per, but business is business. Per did keep some of the owners. He learned a lot from his time there. He's using it now, good trainer. Until he gets caught, if he gets caught.
