Hey Dougie,

I was in Freehold last month for a wedding.

Just saw your post.

Only lock would be in race 11....Likely 1-5 though so may think about horizontals

Race 6  1 win box 1-8  p3  18/3/356

Race 7  3 win  but its Pelling.....Give him shit for me from the apron

Race 8   box 356   p4   356/6/12/4

Race 9  6 looks pretty solid  p3  6/12/4

Race 10  2/win  box 12  dd  12/4

Race 11  4 win

Enjoy Joisee

Thanks for all the responses! I hit my fellow "Mainer' Matty Athearn on "Drawing Dragons" at 32-1. Only had $5WP burt it was a nice win. I was lucky as the 1-5 favorite broke approaching the 1/2 mile pole. Matty's horse, sitting pocket rocket inherited the lead. Wound up winning $275 for the day.

Four best things about New Jersey, when I lived in NY (in no particular order) were:

Anthony Abbatiello, his farm and his hospitality and his tenacity in trying to help a few of my horses.

Marschia Gardner, her farm and her great training expertise.  (Think Instrument Landing)

American Hotel in Freehold (just really great classic American food; best mac & cheese, chicken and waffles)

Stonegate Farm where several of my horses were bred and/or kept.

Did you train Instrument Landing?

He was a good warrior. Someone brought up Escortention recently another tuff bird from back in the day.

Marschia Gardner trained Instrument Landing (and also several other top horses, as well as a handful for me!)

Instrument Landing used to have a Claiming series named for him at the Meadowlands and held the record for most wins at the Meadowlands with 47 (not sure if that has been passed yet??)
