Why is it that when a driver gets caught stiffing a horse that he would never be the driver of the year? Yet when a trainer cheats via medication regulations,he is eligible to be the trainer of the year? SMFH

What good does any of this do when you cant test for what people are using? What you will accomplish is widening the gap between the carless overage of therapeutic meds from small and large stables, all the while the true PED users continue to cash in.

That's what HISA is trying to combat. The cheats are always a step ahead of the regulators. It's been that way since dirt was discovered. The careless overages, regardless of where they come from, will continue to be an issue. At some point there has to be zero tolerance. What that point is, I don't know.

IT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME WHERE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IS MORE DETRIMENTAL TO THE SPORT THAN THE USE OF PEDS.    I AM FAMILIAR WITH AN OWNER THAT DECLARED FEDERAL BANKRUPTCY OVER 30 YEARS AGO AND THE USTA WOULD NOT GRANT A LICENSE.   GO FIGURE.   FEDERAL BANKRUPTCY IS A TOOL FOR FOLKS TO REBUILD THEIR LIFE AND HOPEFULLY FIX THEIR FINANCIAL CONDITIONS!   IT IS A RIGHT OF ALL US CITIZENS!!!!    IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE AFTER 30+ YEARS THE OWNER WAS DENIED A USTA LICENSE.   NO OTHER ISSUES---VERY SUCCESSFUL IN HER NEW COMPANY.

BUT I SEE SO MANY WITH DRUG RELATED ISSUES THAT GET SUSPENDED FOR 2 WEEKS AND THEN THEY ARE BACK RACING.    TRUTHFULLY, THE RACING SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK AS THOSE WHO WERE RECENTLY SENT TO PRISION WILL RACE BEFORE INNOCENT FOLKS WHO HAD A FINANCILA ISSUE OVER 30 YEARS AGO WILL BE ABLE TO RACE.  FACT IS THEY WERE TOLD THEY HAD A LIFETIME BAN FOR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY!

ITS FUNNT YOU CAN DECLARE BANKRUPTCY AND WORK ON WALL STREET OR HAVE ANY EMPLOYMENT THAT REQUIRES LICENSING BUT YOU CANNOT OWN A HORSE!!!!!  THIS IS A TRAVESTY.

FOLKS WONDER WHERE AND WHY THIS SPORT IS DISAPPEARING?

ALSO, RECENTLY WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ADDITIONAL INVESTIGATIONS REGARDING PEDS THAT IS UNDERWAY.   RUMOR IS IT WAS INFO FROM ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLKS THAT WERE RECENTLY PROSECUTED.   PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS ONLY A RUMOR AND I CANNOT CONFIRM ITS AUTHENTICITY ALTHOUGH IT IS A RELIABLE SOURCE.

TIME WILL TELL!

The obvious BLATANT disregard for justice is seen with the PA racing commission waiting months to bring down a suspension PRECISELY when that track is closed, and will reopen as soon as the suspension is lifted! How ridiculous does that make the PA racing commission look to the public?! They cannot be that moronic to realize it will be a GLARING example of corruption and favoritism.

Why does the appeal take so long ?  Is it the commissions or the lawyers that drag their feet ??

PA is the worst of the worst. They should be ashamed of themselves. If I were a national czar or commissioner, that would be the first state that I would take over, take apart, and rebuild from scratch.

complaining in here wont accomplish much. or ratting people out on youtube wont either unless you have an amazing following.(scm does not) you need  to get a bigger platform. like a 60 minutes or someone famous like nikola jokic. there isnt that many important people in the sport so it flies under the radar. word needs to spread outside of the industry.  as for the horseman sticking together we know that cant happen.

DEPENDING ON WHO WINS THE NEW PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION AND THE TAX LAWS THAT WILL FOLLOW---IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THE BREEDERS MAKE OUT IN THE FUTURE.   TOAY, MANY INVESTORS ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR TAX WRITEOFFS----NOT RETURNS.  IN FACT THEIR RETURN IS THE TAX LOSS SUCH AS A SECTION 179 THAT ENABLE YOU TO WRITEOFF UP TO $750,000 (EXPENSE) AS WELL AS ACHIEVE DEPRECIATION OVER 36 MONTHS.  ( BREEDINGS VS. YEARLING TAX LAWS DIFFER)

IF IN FACT THE SECTION 179 DISAPPEARS I PERSONALLY BELIEVE THAT MANY HORSE PRICES WILL DROP AND CAUSE ADDITIONAL ISSUES IN THE INDUSTRY.

I DONT REALLY SEE THE POWER IN ANY OF THE FARMS AS THERE WAS IN THE OLD DAYS----NO MORE OF THE POWER FOLKS!  MOST PASSED AND FAMILY DID NOT TAKE OVER.  LOOK AT THE TRACKS LIKE POMPANO THAT DISAPPEARED DUE TO THE WEALTHY OWNERS PASSING AWAY AND NO FAMILY TO KEEP MOVING FORWARD.     I IS ONLY GETTING WORSE.

THE TROUBLING THOUGHT IS THE PED AND POSITIVE DRUG TEST EVERYWHERE.   DEPENDING WHO DID IT AND WHERE---THE TRACKS/COMMISSION IS NOT TRULY ENFORCING ANY SERIOUS REPERCUSSIONS.   A FEW DAYS AND RETURN OF PURSE CHECK.  THIS IS A TRAVESTY.  THIS INDUSTRY IS FAILING DUE TO LACK OF LEADERSHIP AT THE TOP.   THIS IS A PIGGY BANK FOR THE SELECT FEW THAT TAKE IT ALL FOR THEMSELVES.  TRUTHFULLY,  THE TRAINERS TODAY ARE FEW IN NUMBER COMPARED TO THE OLD DAYS.   THE GRND CIRCUIT TRAINERS ARE FEW---THEY RACE ENTRIES AGAINST 2/3 TRAINERS.   THIS IS TERRIBLE.   WOULD YOU ET AGAINS 5 HORSE ENTRY FOR ONE TRAINER???????????  I WOULD NOT EVEN THOUGH THEY NOW ARE SEPARATE BETTING INTEREST.

GEE, WHERE ARE THE GREAT HORSES AND HORSEMEN FROM THE OLD DAYS????
