Mohawk Friday Night
« on: February 09, 2024, 05:30:26 PM »
Race#6-#7 MISTER MAGIC 3-1 ML Looked to have lots of trot last week until he broke stride with Hudon driving. James Mac back in the bike to night, exponential driver change, expect a bounce back effort.

Race#7#6 SHREDDAR 5-1 ML Should be busting the gate tonight in the final, real tough race so he will have greatly improved odds compared to most lately.

Race#8-#6 RITSON 3-1 ML I mean seriously, enough is enough for this trotter should front end these.

Race#10-#4 SAUBLE AMBER 3-1 ML Huge barn change tonight , has to be 8-5 or better to swing away though.

Best of luck!  tmbz1

  • Sweet: Thankfully Mike is on the case, along with NYCLASS and other protestors.  When any side has no represenation, then they're screwed, because money and power rule of ethics i.e. the horse racing industry and how it cannot self sustain.  Pacer 2 and G are evil, nuts too!  tmbz1

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
