The judges actually did Baynes a favor with the suspension.  The $5,000 fine will quickly be paid for with all the money his horses make during his time on the sidelines. Ahle just won at Chester with Sandradimples at 33/1 and takes two seconds off his lifetime mark.

Will his horses appreciate in value or depreciate in value now you have real drivers showing their talent if ownership decides to sell any of them??

Baynes owns most if not all of his horses. So, rarely would you see any of his horses change hands.  I understand and appreciate he isn't looking to maximize his bottom line in the business, and that he must really enjoy driving his own horses and making a living his way.  It was great to see today he had a smile from ear to ear walking his horse back to the paddock.

I find it peculiar that a guy with his wealth would cheat to keep stuffing a horse in NW1.

That's why actual handicappers and smart bettors only bet on claimers and upper stakes races.  Condition races should never be bet cause everyone in that class knows what they can make to drop down or stay in that class...for real who would bet this when earnings would have to be calculated for each local track too since most trainers know them can fit a lower class somewhere else next week if their 3rd or worse tonight.

You are correct. Most condition horses race for checks. happy owners, stay in class, and keep the horse.
