I believe Busse was one of the top 20 drivers of all time. Look at his record.  Your thoughts?

Learned the business from the ground up from his dad.  He and Don both won national driving championships.  Probably the only father / son combo to do so.  Always had a knack for getting the most out of anything he drove.  What impressed me most about Daryl was that he would literally drive anything and do it well.  He was fearless and could handle the nastiest, most foul gaited things you ever saw.  He drove for me many times and was always a pleasure to deal with.

Don in 1963.
Daryl in 1975.
Only father/son to each win a national title.
Both born in Wisc.

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.

  • Trigger: I thought BT & I had a real good shot w/ a 110 4/5, wide but nice momentum, and then a sharp left turn mid stretch ended that  ngc3
