Is Jody good enough to win a 'major' race with a terrible draw?

Don’t listen to the naysayers, John.
Jody has driven him every race, and CQ will be a different horse in the final, despite the post.
Last week was just a tuneup with a 24:4 LQ.

I agree, he has a major shot there, just tough from the 9 hole. Should be a good race.

In a lot of ways Jody is the key to this race. The horse to his inside Captain Luke has wicked gate speed and if Jody leaves along with the ones from the inside that want to protect position, they will be four or five wide on the first turn. I can't see anyone wanting to allow tucks so if he continues towards the front we will get an insanely fast pace. If he takes back maybe not. JMO.

You have 3 Mohawk 'invaders' infiltrating the Meadowlands in a prestigious race (they also have 2 of the 3 shortest morning line odds).  Does it make a difference as they are not regulars at the Meadowlands and might not know the track as well as the regulars who drive at the meadowlands?

Knew the track well enough to win both elims and qualify another.

Does this mean the regulars let them win since winning wasn't a major concern for any of them [just get into the final]?
