Moreau is getting 10yrs and 100k fine.  Word is he is selling everything and getting out of the business.

You would know, LOL. Gotta admit, you crack me up.

I'm hearing the same thing. I believe that is the standard penalty for using any family of artificial epoetin drug.

It's always Josh, he's here, he's there, he's everywhere. It's time to find another name, everybody wouldn't be buying Josh, he'd be busy 24 / 7 and be rolling in cash, he's not.

According to the report, Moreau was suspended due to the presence of “darbepoietin alfa” (DPO) in the system of Funtime Bayama from an out of competition test completed on June 10, just five days prior to the horse finishing third in the $730,000 North America Cup. The horse was privately sold a few days after the race to U.S.-based connections and finished second in an elimination and last in the $650,000 Meadowlands pace. --------why was he allowed to race if he tested positive 5 days before the NA Cup and didn't Harris do a COMPLETE blood workup INCLUDING illegal substances?!

He was tested 5 days before. When did the rest results come back? As far as Harris and what they did, who knows; other than the buyers.

As this was "out of competition testing"  do the connections have to give back the money they made in the NA Final ????

If not why do they test ?  As I understand there is a short time span this drug can be detected.  Something like 3 days out. This does not give the lab time to ron the test and then probably a second time before the race is contested and the purse $ distributed.

"out of competition testing"

Out of competition means the test was done at the Richard's farm in the morning, not at the track after a race.  The Ontario Racing Commission or whatever they are called not will often stop by and draw blood on a complete barn.  I had horses with Robinson for years, been there done that.

If this test is 100% accurate, the horse has suffered and will more than likely continue to suffer the medical effects.  Ownership of the horse means absolutely nothing until the effects of this has run its course.  Can the horse come back from this?  Time will tell!
