Nice way to start Hambo weekend

The Night the Lights went Out at the Big M. They had to cancel the final four races. Don't they have backup generators? Just a first-class operation.

Happened at Pompano in 2004.  Every other bank was out, and they still raced.  Plenty of shadows on the racetrack. Wally Hennessey went home and didn't race.  I had a horse in to go that night and my trainer sent me to her trailer for a shadow roll for the horse.

Maybe start with putting the 2or3 amature races at the end of the card, like in the 12th n 13th race, make those guys sit around instead of $240k stakes finals..

Do you have detailed information about what happened? Remember we just had many of the airlines shut down over a software update.

Gural and Settlrmoir got what they deserve

the first race goes off not before 6:45 but they always say its 6:20

the race before they handed out award for driver and trainer of the meet, the time between races was 35 minutes

Gural actually believes dragging helps handle-but we all know over half the handle comes in after the race starts, so dragging is irrelevant

They are not very bright to say the least

Zero minutes till post for 10 minutes or more doesnt help anyone

The drag last night was outrageous.  The click would sit at 0 minutes to post for a half hour. You got drivers and horses on the track doing circles with no idea when they're going to line up.

The drag will not put any more money in the pool. Most gamblers like to know that when the clock says 1 minute until post that actually means they're behind the gate in 60 seconds. Every race. As a driver I like to know the exact time I have for horses that have to be scored down in a certain way. Stop playing Freddy fuckaround and get on an actual schedule.

Drag absolutely enhances handle. Cutting it out would cost them significant money

The data shows it does.

The only way to have "data" is to run the races strictly on time

since that never happens how could any data be presented?

They actually did a no drag test, and it reduced handle by 22%!

When was this 20 years ago?

how could handle be off 22% when about half the handle is computer bets after the gate leaves?

absurd
