Todays LBJ races
« on: September 17, 2024, 03:51:27 PM »
What can I say after getting so pissed off at Rosecroft BS last night.

What a difference watching the Delaware Ohio races today. Exciting races and the judges are checking everything before making races official. They even have a team walking the track after every race looking for shoes that got lose and straightening out pylons.

Listen to the local commentary here . Much better than Biacone and Wendy Ross on the ADW feed.

Selections ahead

Chris Page horses are stabled here. He's on this track almost everyday of the year. I consider him a top tier driver and now has home track advantage. Add in Burke horses to the mix and it's hard not to bet him.

If you know Chris, ask him about the spill he took at Colonial Downs. I was there that day and thought he was finished. I spoke to him the next day or so in the grandstand and he had a  a big smile on his with a cast/sling on his arm and friendly as can. Been a fan and supporter since those days.

I would love to. Ive been to practically every track in the country and LBJ has eluded me.

It is too bad because I love the fairs, been to them all in Maine,I love 1/2 mile, and I love getting loaded on the infield. I am sure you will be making your user name come true.

Have one more beer for me!

Page has been on fire this week.. best driver in Ohio by far and add in that he drives for Burke and he should always be played in the exotics at a bare minimum

Chris is a friendly person. His instincts with a horse and in a race are excellent. I've watched all the drivers in Ohio for many years and he's one of the best. That's why Burke uses him. David Miller has drove for me here too. Both have an extra advantage on this track . Don't leave either one off your ticket if they have a live horse.

If I ever got back into ownership.. I would have to insist to my trainer.. Who I won't name but uses multiple drivers in Ohio, that Chris would drive for us.. He will succeed even if he loses a few Burke horses to Miller once David moves back here.. Furthermore always bet Miller at Delaware. He is the all time leader in wins there. He got there yesterday for like the last 5 or 6 races.. and won 2 of them including 10-1 in the last race.
