You are not very brightthe democratic governor was trying to save it by providing $1.6 mil for purse subsidies(welfare)if Pennwood is keeping the land and not selling-then they are simply not applying for racing dates-which saves NJ the $1.6 mil--and Gural is eyeballing that money
You did state the NJ must sanction, or approve, this closure. By all accounts, that was incorrect. Freehold was able to fold without any approval from the state. I believe that is what the previous post was referencing
