JF, I have 2 pensions and the rule my pensions have is at age 70 its mandatory that you start collecting your pension. I never heard of someone's pension being denied because they filed for it at 70. I think you should look into it again. Maybe the person you spoke to is an idiot. As I understand it as you work you earn credits toward your pension, those credits have no expiration date. The federal government oversees all pension funds. Don't give up, talk to a supervisor and if they still turn you down complain to the Fed.

When I filed for SOCIAL SECURITY back when I was 67,they told me my pension was forthcomin if I chosse to take it at time. I thought it be a nice bonus if I not take at time.
