He's obviously way too young to think about retiring and I'm sure he's loaded, but sometimes people are in denial that their skills may have diminished some. Sometimes live drives fall into your lap because their regular driver jumps off them for what they felt was something better.

remember jim king not helping him as he did in the past
of course he seems to be doing okay on fallout
i am sure at some point he will  slow down  and own and train a few down and drive them himself
these big drivers get run ragged from May to November with all the travel and all the drives, cant last at that pace forever
Lexington has allowed them to make much more money but it does take a toll on them over time , will see fewer and fewer driving regularly in the winter for sure

Here is my Tetrick story.
About 1987 or 88.
An owner sends me to southern IL. to buy horses.
One of my stops is Tom Tetrick's farm.
Tom and I are standing in the barn doorway.
Up through the lane comes a kid on a pony.
The pony is on a high speed run.
Bare back and only a rope tied on the halter.
The kids arms are a swinging and his legs are a flapping wildly
I say something like "Whoa Kid".
Tom says something like "Ya Timmy can sure make that old pony go".

As an Owner it disturbs me to keep reading nonsense you keep posting--so look at my avatar--Ill do fact checking.
1) Owners are NOT tired of Timmy-yes he did ask once in awhile if a horse he drove had bad luck-hed tell my trainer-put me down next week. Then if he had another horse in for a horse/trainer that he drove more often, or it was simply a better horse--he would not drive. EXACTLY like most top drivers do almost every day. Bartlett does it in most races at Yonkers--just check it out.
2) Again the Josh Marks BS--Josh Marks is in Canada-and he's in Jail. Hes not- or has been-involved with Tim Tetrick. In fact--Josh Marks has been banned from entering the USA for a long time now.
3) Jim King Jr-always has been a very good trainer-he got lucky with Shartin N and the other imports--they were just outstanding horses and King rode the wave as did Timmy. Its hard to maintain that level-and Jim King didnt all of a sudden fall off the map-in this business-its essential you have great skill--but you need luck! Without luck-you may be a top trainer--but you cant fly with the eagles when you are on the ground with turkeys.

I don't know what you are smoking but Jimmy King has lost his USTA license before for race fixing and bak in the 70s for drug violations on horses....anyone can improve on King......brow beaten by his wife

King got the Lyons horses a few years back after the Pocono scene when Marks went nuts at Schnittiker and Dowse lost all his owners the next day.  Lyons Serenity was one of those.
